Hallo artists, performers, musiscians and companies!

For this year's edition of the Sommerwerft, we are inviting groups and solo artists, professionals and amateurs to show their creations or improvised peformances in our Summer Garden. There is much open area and we have a small stage (2 x 3 meters).

To apply, please send the following information:
description, photos, DVD, homepage, etc.
and a letter explaining how your performance fits into the Sommerwerft Theater Festival.

Or you can arrange with meeting directly with Karen Rémy and bring the material with you.

The festival staff with arrange a time schedule for the performances.

Technical Requirements and Details

1/ The chosen creations will be performed either on the 2m x 3m x 80cm outdoor stage or in the open spaces at the festival, such as in the Biergarten. The performances should not requirement more than 12m². Seating will be arranged in combination with the Biergarten, if needed.

2/ The stage scenery and decorations must be minimal, requiring less than 10 minutes to build up and take down.

3/ No lighting will be provided. Therefore, the creations should be peformed in daylight.

4/ The creations should be „unplugged“ – Stereos and loud speakers must be cleared by the festival. The festival will not provide a sound system.

5/ The festival will provide a contact person and a co-organiser from the „KleinKunstFreiRaum“.
6/ Die Kreationen sollten kurz sein; Maximale Dauer 50 min.

7/ Entrance fee: All performances in the „KleinKunstFreiRaum“ are free to the public. Neither the festival nor the performers will sell tickets. After the performance, a hat may be passed around. The capacity of the area is 150 people.

8/ Payment: No payment can be made. However, each performer will receive a guest ticket for a Sommerwerft performance of his or her choice (worth 12 €).

9/ Drinks: Each performer will receive 3 chips for the redemption of food or drink.
